During my last year at the academy, I did my internship in New York. What fascinated me was the immigration. People came from all over the world to live the American dream. Soon it became clear that I wanted to use this subject as part of my graduation.
After some research about how I could express my fascination about immigration in the US, I chose 'Ellis Island'. An Island offshore New York, which was the most important gateway for the immigrants to pursue their American dream.
It became a publication which includes endless passengers lists of the different ships that were alternating, intruded portraits of anonymous passengers and personal stories of biographical nature.
